-2 Construction Noise/Disruption Notices - Harbin Hot Springs Retreat Center

Upcoming Construction Noise / Disruptions

We strive to keep you informed of our construction activities to the best of our ability so that you can plan your visits accordingly. Because we are operating in an ongoing and variable phase of construction, there will be times when we cannot forecast a specific project. Often this is because we have to respond to a changing construction schedule or rectify an emerging issue. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences, and thank you for your understanding and patience as we continue our work to restore Harbin’s full facilities, amenities, and services.

Construction has started on the Fern Dressing Room and the new Steam Sauna: Rebuilding the poolside dressing room and steam sauna is an exciting and long awaited step in our rebuilding process. The new dressing room will replace the temporary dressing room we’ve had open near the warm pool. We’ve begun excavation for the infrastructure, retaining wall and will then move onto the foundation. Please plan on noise during the weekdays near the pools! The lower dressing room will be open, and foot traffic will be redirected as needed. Thank you for your understanding.

The Domes Guest Pools:
Due to possible construction noise by the Therapy Pool, The Domes upper warm pool will be closed from 7am to 9pm on weekdays until further notice to allow for quiet Therapy sessions at the Domes while construction is being done on Mainside. Dome guests may use this pool from 9pm to 7am. The bottom pool will remain available 24 hours a day for registered Dome guests.

Ongoing: Usually first Tuesday of every month
Pool and Poolside Maintenance Day (Alligator Day)
On “Alligator Day” the warm pool is drained around 2AM, allowing us to make repairs and do maintenance on the water purification system. The cold plunge then becomes hot; the heart pool serves as the warm pool; the large swimming pool serves as the cold plunge for the majority of the day. We use this day to complete other maintenance projects around the pool area, so do expect noise and possible disruption of guest services. (Alligator Days are listed on our events calendar.)
