For three years in the late 1980s, writer Ellen Klages lived at Harbin Hot Springs researching its history and living as a Resident in intentional community. Ellen published the book, Harbin Hot Springs, Healing Waters Sacred Land in 1991. In the book she takes us time traveling back to the native presence of the Original Peoples, through the appropriation of the colonists, to the New Age blossoming that informs our current presence on the land.
