We will explore the symbols and actions appropriate to the beginning of this part of the natural cycle and our relationship to the element of the moment. We will build the altar for the ceremony at hand. This is a show and tell mo-ment. Please bring items related to this time of year as we acknowledge, participate and experience ourselves arising from the Earth.
Lammas: We have arrived in the energy and direction of the Southwest. The Turn of the wheel holy day on August 1 is called Lammas, Lughnassadh, or Loafmas, appropriately named for the breads made from wheat that is har-vested at this time. This is the time of first harvest when there is still plenty of heat and growth for community building through feasting.
