In late February, a small group of people gathered in a spirit of gratitude and celebration to officially open the Fern Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This intimate event marked the completion of a project designed to enhance the comfort and relaxation of our guests and community members.

Located inside the new Fern Building, the state-of-the-art Steam Sauna is a peaceful retreat for rest and rejuvenation. Featuring spacious, handcrafted tile bench seating, ADA accessibility, and the latest in steam technology, it offers a deeply soothing experience for all who enter. Guests are encouraged to bring a towel to sit on while they enjoy the warmth and serenity of the sauna.

The two-story building also brings exciting new amenities to the Mainside Pool Area, including additional poolside showers, four new restrooms, lockers, and hair dryers, creating a more comfortable and convenient space for everyone to enjoy.

Our ceremony was a heartfelt experience, beginning with a blessing of the Fern Dressing Room using sage and a calling of the directions. Walking through the beautifully designed space, we reflected on the intention behind this project: to foster relaxation, connection, and ease for all who visit. The steam sauna experience was truly refreshing, leaving us feeling restored and deeply grateful.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed to making this vision a reality, especially Lia Findley Jennings, Sajjad Mahmud, Julie Adams, Anke Ihnken, and Bill Wright, whose dedication, determination, and effort helped bring this project to life.

Hours of operation for the Steam Sauna are from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, daily. The Fern Dressing Room is open 24- hours a day.
